Álvaro has 30 years of professional experience in criminal law and civil law. Throughout his career as a lawyer, he has specialized in representing clients in criminal and civil court proceedings.

He holds a law degree from the law school of the Complutense University of Madrid (1992), where he obtained the diploma of the General Training Course for Lawyers.

A member of the Madrid Bar Association and of the Málaga Bar Association, Álvaro previously has been a member of the Management Body for the Spanish Civil Administration (Cuerpo de Gestión de la Administración Civil del Estado).
